Blogging has become the buzzword of the first decade of the 21st century. Ten years ago virtually nobody had a blog. Today your social standing is not quite what it should be if you don’t have a blog. The reasons for starting a blog are many, but if making money is one of your reasons, let’s talk about how to make money blogging!

If you want to make an income by blogging, there are many ways to do it. Once you have your blog set up, you need to choose one or more methods of monetization in order to earn money from it. Here are five different ways to make money blogging.

You can blog for money. Anyone with basic writing skills can be blogging for dollars within hours. What you first must know how to set up a blog and then learn how to get traffic. Most people fail at generating traffic.

I have been making money blogging for approximately a year, and I have been very happy with the many different income streams that I have been able to create. My methods include setting up Wordpress blogs that are centered around a particular theme or niche. I use one niche for each blog. I begin by researching general keywords, and gradually narrowing down the scope and adding lots of long tail keyword rich posts. Long tail keywords usually have fewer searches, and less competition making them ideal for driving targeted traffic. I think of each blog that I create as individual trees with branches, and leaves.
